Steve: This is our medium size 6 Berth Motorhome.

Sam: Ok.

Steve: Ideal for four people.

Sam: So Steve, this is the medium sized model in the range. Tell me a bit about this one.

Steve: Well this is a 6 berth motorhome with six seat belts. It does usually go out to four people. Actually the dining table is for four, but with the six seat belts it can go out to six people and we charge a 6 berth rate for it. Most 6 berths are three double beds which is no good for hire because you don’t get three couples going on holiday together. You need as many single beds as possible or to fit as many different combinations of people. This one you’ve got the bunk beds at the rear, a double above us. And then you’ve still got this one here if it’s needed.

Sam: So this table drops down to create a double bed?

Steve: Yes, that’s right yes.

Sam: Ok. So what about storage in this size of vehicle?



Steve: (In) this vehicle we’ve got a garage, the bottom bunk will fold up. So in the daytime when you are travelling, you fold the bottom bunk up and it’s a full sized garage in there. We also always fit a four bike, bike rack on all the models (including) this one. So you’ve got the bikes on the back, instead of using up the garage space for the bikes and you can put suitcases or anything else that you need bbq’s, bed, tables and chairs in that garage.

Sam: And this one is ideal really for two couples or a couple with two older kids?

Steve: Yes, or even four individuals.

Sam: Ok.

Steve: Because it’s got four separate beds you can have somebody in the double above the driving cab, somebody on this one, and there’s two full sized bunks at the rear.

Sam: So Steve, how does this compare to the smaller one in terms of how often you will rent it out during the course of the year?

Steve: Well this is probably our most popular motor home, it’s perfect in size because it’s only six and a half metres long but it has got 6 berths and so throughout the summer it goes out to all (hirers) and in all the school holidays.

Sam: So the medium one is a 4 berth but you could sleep six because you’ve got bunk beds in the back.

Steve: Yes, you have an extra two seat belts fitted so you can have six people in if you wish (as a 6 berth motorhome).

Sam: Right.

Steve: It’s got full size bunks in it.
